Cool Stuff After AG Nationals

After AG Nationals I got some sweet coverage including a mention in the "Faces in the Crowd" section of Sports Illustrated. Insane. I used to read that in middle school and wonder if they were real people or just invented by SI for journalistic effect...

Plus, had a podcast interview with Endurance Planet!

And a very nice article written by the Sports Editor of the CU Independent.

What a ridiculous year...

AG Nationals Pt 3: Awards Ceremony

Though it was absurdly long, Cameron, Colin, and I had a great time hangin out

And the overall awards!

And the blue bike for the fastest bike split! I was "Pretty Excited." And showin off the new Rudy Project Glasses.

Too bad they wouldn't let me take that one...

AG Nationals Pt 2: Race day

I don't have any footage of the race, but fortunately I remembered to get our friend Dave on film. Though the clip doesn't show it, he was one of the most entertaining roommates we had.

For example: "When I do the swim, I like to hit people on the head as hard as I can so I can get an advantage over them. There was this girl swimming behind me and she was trying to pass so I just swerved and kicked her in the face" -Dave. (Keep in mind he is in the 70-75 age group haha)

Here he is on race morning:

(while struggling to put on his shoes on race morning) "Theoretically I should be able to do this in 7 seconds per shoe"

We also made some other great friends at the hostel--turned out to be a great place to stay minus the dude who ran the place...

AG Nationals Pt 1: The trip to Burlington

Though I have been slacking with the flip all summer, I remembered to bring it to AG nationals the weekend of August 20th. Good choice too because I have documented proof of Cameron promising to eat life cereal before every race he does from now on...

We changed planes in LaGuardia, probably the worst airport ever.

And both Cameron and I took a hit when we had to through security AGAIN

REV3 and the early summer...

REV3 seems like a while ago but I haven't cleaned out the flip video camera in a while. Summer sure went by fast. Here is some footage of Scott and Ryan before the race...I was worried about the transition area but it turned out not to matter when both Ryan and I were directed off course on the bike portion. I rode about 40miles before getting back on. Good thing Corey and I drove 40hours round trip to get there...
